WASHINGTON, DC – U.S. Representative Antonio Delgado (NY-19) called on the Office of Personnel Management, which oversees federal employees, to mitigate the impact of the government shutdown on federal employees' dental and vision health insurance.

Delgado's letter addresses an issue raised by one of his constituents – that federal employees missing their paycheck because of the shutdown may now lose their dental and vision coverage if they don't pay their premiums out-of-pocket.

WASHINGTON, DC – Representative Antonio Delgado (NY-19) joined 30 House Democrats in writing a letter to Speaker Pelosi proposing a bipartisan path forward to reopen the government. The letter, led by Representative Elaine Luria (VA-02), calls for an immediate reopening of the government followed by debate in House committees regarding border security. The letter also calls for a guaranteed House vote on a Department of Homeland Security funding package by the end of February.

WASHINGTON, DC – Today, Representative Antonio Delgado (NY-19) joined Democratic Congressman Dan Kildee (MI-05), Republican Congressman Brian Fitzpatrick (PA-01), and additional Members of Congress to announce the formation of the bipartisan Congressional PFAS Task Force. Delgado also joined as a cosponsor to a bipartisan bill that designates all PFAS chemicals as hazardous substances and allows the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to clean up contaminated sites in New York and across the country.

KINGSTON, NY – Today, Representative Antonio Delgado (NY-19) wrote to Department of Agriculture Secretary Sonny Perdue to ask him to quickly address an issue raised by one of Delgado's constituents: While the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits will continue through the end of next month even in the face of a government shutdown, many grocery stores and other vendors are unable to process benefits – which is done through the Electronic Benefits Transfer (EBT) card program – because their license has expired, and cannot be renewed due to the government shutdown.
