Rep. Delgado Visits Farm, Inn, and Small Businesses to Highlight American Rescue Plan

RHINEBECK, NY – Today, U.S. Representative Antonio Delgado (NY-19) visited Red Hook, Milton, and Ellenville to speak with farmers, local elected officials, and small business owners about COVID-19 relief. The Congressman highlighted American Rescue Plan provisions to support farmers and producers, local governments, our tourism industry, and small businesses.

“From Red Hook to Milton to Ellenville, the American Rescue Plan is helping folks stay in business and recover from COVID-19,” said Rep. Delgado. “I am proud to have secured over $400 million in direct federal funding for our local counties, towns, and villages. These dollars, combined with Small Business Administration and U.S Department of Agriculture relief programs, will help communities recover and rebuild. When we invest in families and workers, the American economy is strengthened.”

Migliorelli Farm -- Red Hook, NY
 

The Congressman met with Ken Migliorelli, owner of Migliorelli's Farm. Rep. Delgado and Mr. Migliorelli discussed the U.S. Department of Agriculture Coronavirus Food Assistance Program (CFAP) 2 and additional pandemic relief programs.

 

 

Buttermilk Falls Inn & Spa -- Milton, NY

The Congressman met with:

  • Robert "Bob" Pollock, Owner, Buttermilk Falls Inn & Spa

Rep. Delgado and local business leaders discussed Small Business Administration relief programs, like the Paycheck Protection Program and Economic Injury Disaster Loans, as well as the need to invest in workforce development and affordable housing.

 

 

Ellenville Local Government -- Ellenville, NY

 

The Congressman met with:

  • Michael Warren, Village Manager
  • Dan Tucker, Village Treasurer
  • Barbara Huff, Small Business Owner
  • Philip Mattracion, Chief of Police
  • Steve Kelley, President & CEO of Ellenville Regional Hospital

Rep. Delgado and local leaders discussed the Congressman's Direct Support for Communities Act. Included in the American Rescue Plan, this funding formula delivers $34.4 million to Ulster County and $1.38 million to Wawarsing. The American Rescue Plan also delivers almost $4 million to the Ellenville Central School District. Additionally, the leaders discussed Rep. Delgado’s Rebuild Rural America Act, which would provide rural areas with flexible five-year block grants, giving them the money, time, and capacity to carry out regional economic development goals.

While in Ellenville, the Congressman met with local business owners and discussed the impact of COVID-19 relief programs like the Paycheck Protection Program and Economic Injury Disaster Loans.
