WORCESTER, NY — Today, U.S. Representative Antonio Delgado (NY-19) visited the “Creating Rural Opportunities Partnership” (CROP) After School Program at Worcester Central School where he participated in the program’s after school activities and met students, faculty, and staff. CROP is funded by a federal 21st Century Community Learning Centers grant. The program provides academic support, youth development, and family engagement for K-8th grade students and their families in 14 schools in Otsego, Delaware, Greene, and Schoharie Counties.

“I’m thankful for the opportunity to visit and see the valuable work the CROP after school program does for our young people in rural communities like Worcester,” said Delgado. “After school programs can be immensely valuable to academic success and youth development, and I’m committed to making sure programs that serve families in rural upstate like CROP are supported and have the resources they need.”
