Delgado Provides Update on Legislative Work at Cooperstown Rotary
COOPERSTOWN, NY — Today, U.S. Representative Antonio Delgado (NY-19) joined the Cooperstown Rotary for their weekly meeting. During the meeting, Rep. Delgado delivered remarks on his legislative work on behalf of New York’s Nineteenth District to support small farmers, invest in rural communities and improve broadband internet access, and answered questions from rotary members.
“I’m glad to work with Cooperstown Rotarians to serve our community and improve our economy for everyone in upstate,” said Delgado. “Thank you to the leadership of the Cooperstown Rotary for the invitation to join your weekly meeting. I am grateful for the opportunity to provide an update on my work in Congress, and the progression of my efforts to legislate on behalf of everyone in our district whether it is supporting the nearly 5,000 family farms in NY-19, fixing broadband mapping practices that currently create massive digital inequities in rural areas, or effectively updating rural infrastructure to boost our economy. Today’s meeting also allowed me to learn more about the work that Rotary is doing at the local level in Cooperstown. I look forward to future partnerships dedicated to enhancing the lives of our community members and neighbors.”
Last month, Delgado joined the Otsego County Chamber of Commerce for their annual 2020 State of the State Networking Luncheon.
