Delgado Joins Sullivan County Heart-A-Thon
HARRIS, NY — Today, U.S. Representative Antonio Delgado (NY-19) joined the community for Sullivan County’s 42nd Annual 98.3 WSUL Heart-A-Thon. This is the Congressman’s second year in attendance. During the event, Rep. Delgado greeted volunteers and spoke with 98.3 WSUL about his mother’s life-long experience with a heart condition.
“It was great to join Sullivan County volunteers at the 42nd Annual Heart-A-Thon to support the Catskill Regional Medical Center in investing in critical cardiology equipment that will allow them to serve folks in our community. I was honored to join today during ‘Women’s Health Hour’ and share my personal connection to this important cause,” said Delgado. “I’m working to ensure everyone in our district, no matter where they live, can access the health care they need.”
Rep. Delgado has made access to affordable, quality health care a top priority during his time in Congress. This Spring, the Congressman led his colleagues in introducing legislation to create a public option through the Medicare-X Choice Act. The Congressman has also worked to lift the voices of health care advocates and patients across New York’s 19th District through his Health Care Advisory Committee with representatives from all eleven counties in the district.
