Delgado Invites Public to Panel Discussion on Combatting the Opioid Crisis in Upstate New York

GLASCO, NY—As part of his in-district work week focused on addressing the opioid crisis, Representative Antonio Delgado (NY-19) announced a panel discussion with medical professionals, first responders, non-profit organizations, and those working through addiction about their work to combat the opioid crisis throughout New York’s 19th Congressional District and upstate communities. The panel will take place at 10:00 a.m. tomorrow, Thursday, October 10 at the Glasco Fire Company in Glasco. Attendees will hear from expert panelists who will share their experiences, offer resources, and answer questions from audience members. Members of the public are invited to attend.

“The prevalence of opioids is an urgent crisis in our communities and our first responders are on the front lines of addressing this crisis and treating those in recovery. I am holding a panel discussion with expert witnesses to hear from medical professionals, first responders, and patients about their experiences with the disease that is addiction, and responding to overdoses in our region.” Rep. Delgado continued, “Addressing this crisis is an urgent priority and I invite everyone concerned about treating opioid addiction in our communities to join this important discussion.”
