Delgado Announces Winner of Congressional Art Competition
WASHINGTON, DC—Today, Representative Antonio Delgado (NY-19) announced the winner of the Congressional Art Competition from New York’s 19th Congressional District. This year’s winner, which was selected by a public survey amongst finalists on Rep. Delgado’s website, is Shelter by Greyson VanVorst of Ichabod Crane High School in Valatie, New York. The winner’s art will be displayed in the U.S. Capitol over the next year.

“I congratulate Greyson, and look forward to proudly displaying his work in the U.S. Capitol.” Delgado continued, “I thank the talented students who submitted their work to the competition, you are all truly emblematic of the talent in Upstate New York. I am also proud to announce that the other finalists’ works will be displayed in one of my district offices for visitors to enjoy.”
All high school students who live in New York's 19th Congressional District were invited to submit their artwork throughout April. Local art professors then selected the top five pieces, and NY-19 residents chose the winning artwork through an online poll. This year’s winner, Greyson VanVorst, will receive two round-trip tickets to Washington, DC to attend the Congressional Art Competition reception in June.
